Valley Kids Triathlon

 

RACE INFORMATION:

RACE DATE:  July 12, 2008 (Saturday)

LOCATION:  Liberty Lake, WA (Spokane area)

TIME:  Races start at 9:00 am

START:  Molter Rd. and Inlet Dr. (LLVHA beachfront)

FINISH:  Pavillion Park in Liberty Lake

ENTRY FEE: $ 25.00

AGE GROUPS: for this years Valley Kids Triathlon age groups will be 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-15 years for both boys and girls. Your racing age is your age as of December 31, 2008. Approximate distances for the events will be: Welcome To Emde Sports Spokane, Serving Cyclists, Triathletes, and Multisport Athletes

7-8 years      swim  100m   5k bike    1k run    11:15 am

9-10 years     swim 100m    5k bike    1k run    10:30 am

11-12 years   swim  150m   10k bike   2k run    9:45 am

13-15 years   swim  200m   10k bike   2k run    9:00 am

Distances may vary somewhat according to our courses.

 

Goodie Bags and T-Shirts and will be provided for all participants. Medals will be awarded 3-deep in each age group.
 

REGISTRATION: We will be limited to 250 youth and registration will be open at www.signmeup.com on April 1st, 2008. Check for brochures soon at Fitness Fanatics or local sport stores in our area.

PACKET/ RACE NUMBER PICK UP "Step #1
Go to Fitness Fanatics on Friday, July 11th from 12 noon until 6:00 pm for packet and race number pick up.
Instruction sheets and maps will be handed out at packet pick up with rules and procedures.

There will be no late registration on the July 11th or on race day! Friday is for packet/race number pick up only.
PACKET/ RACE NUMBER PICK UP "Step #2"
Show up at the Liberty Lake Homeowners Assn. beach front starting at 8:00 am on Saturday, July 12th and look for the age group marked area to place your bike. Places are first come, first serve.

Timing chips will be assigned that morning.
Bring your helmet! HELMETS ARE REQUIRED TO RACE.

 "Commonly Asked Question":

Q: Will my child need to purchase a USAT license?

A: Yes!  As of January 1, 2006 there will no longer be any one-day licenses available for youth competitors.  All athletes 17 and under will be required to hold an annual license.  This membership will cost only $5.00 and will be good for 12 months!  These fees will not be built in to the race entry fees and must be purchased separately. (Click here for your online yearly membership).  Athletes that sign up online will not be required to have a parent sign any USAT waiver forms at the event, only show the membership card they receive in the mail.
