RACE DAY - JULY 21, 2019

  • Race start time 7:45 am (entrance to park closes at 7:30 am for all car traffic)
  • Olympic Distance Start 7:45 am, Duathlon Start 8:00 am, Sprint Distance Start 8:15 am
  • Cap Colors and Age Groups schedules will be posted at packet pick up as well as emailed to all participants several days prior to race day. Watch for 2-3 pre race emails from the race director with important information. 
  • Pre race swim warm up may begin when the announcement is made and when lifeguards are in place.

FINISH LINE VENDOR expo area - race day 8:30 - 12:30 pm:

  • Our vendor booth and expo area hours run from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm on race day in Waterfront Park. Visit our vendors and businesses that support this great event and watch the excitement as the ladies cross the finish line and head over to check out the action.

  • Have Beans Will Travel will sell coffee and other drinks.

  • All finishers will receive custom Valley Girl TRI and DU medals as they exit the finish area.

  • David's Pizza is available at the finish line area.

  • Visit the Transitions Booth and learn more about their impact in our community. Donations will be accepted at the finish line area on race day OR at packet pick up on Friday or Saturday!

  • Visit our "Kids Zone" for activities and fun for the kids. Complete with sign-making opportunities and games!

RACE DAY CHECK IN - Waterfront park - medical lake, WA

  • Transition Area at Waterfront Park opens at 6:00 am. You should arrive before 7:00 am to be well prepared, rack your bike and get familiar with your surroundings. 
  • Place your bike on the proper age group rack, they will be marked. And please DO NOT MOVE other participant belongings that are not yours.  
  • Don't forget your timing chip, race numbers, swim cap, helmet and try to bring all race gear with you in a back pack or similar bag. There is not much room as we try to fit 5-6 bikes on each rack.
  • Body markings will be done as you enter the transition area. Bib numbers are written on both upper arms and age or T (teams) on the left calf.  
  • PLEASE, no family or friends in the transition area. Our volunteers are here to assist and it provides safety and security for participants and equipment!
  • Depending on the water and ambient temperatures, wetsuits MAY or MAY NOT be allowed. A final announcement will be made on race morning.

  • PARKING - Athlete or spectator parking is available at Waterfront Park and in Medical Lake (on-street parking).  

  • Race Results and Timing will be provided by Across the Line and will be available shortly after the event. 
  • Awards will begin at approximately 11:00 am near the pavilion. Individual age groups will be awarded 5 deep and all teams are awarded 3 deep.
  • Bicycle mechanical support provided by Fitness Fanatics.
  • Medical and First Aid provided by the Bike EMT's.
  • We have a Field Limit of 400 participants.
